Changing a page after it's generated

Three ways to change a generated page — talking to it, free instant tweaks, and scoped AI edits — and which one to reach for.

Three different tools

Once a page exists, there are three ways to change it, and picking the wrong one is what makes people burn credits:

You want toUseCost
Restructure the page, add a section, change the whole directionKeep talking in the composerA generation
Change a colour, a size, a weight on one blockSelect it, use the properties tabFree, instant
Rework one block's layout or wordingSelect it, describe the changeLess than a full page

Talking to it

Type the change and send. It works out whether you mean "edit this page" or "start a new one" — and when your message could be either, it asks, with two buttons.

Choosing to start a new one leaves the current page alone rather than overwriting it. Both stay in your versions.

The "add more" chips cover the requests that come up constantly: one more section at the end, more detail on what's already there, an FAQ, a gallery of work. They're ordinary messages with the wording filled in.

Properties: free and instant

Click any part of the page and the panel opens on it. Colours here are sampled from the page you generated rather than from a generic palette, so what you pick still belongs to the design. Type, size and weight sit alongside.

Changes apply immediately, with no generation and no waiting. Revert drops what you've staged; Undo takes back the last thing you applied.

This is the tool for small fixes. A heading that's slightly too big and a section that wants more air are not worth a generation — they're worth two clicks.

One limit: pages generated before the style system existed have no recipe for the panel to read, so the colour controls stay locked on them. Regenerating such a page unlocks them.

AI refine: paid but scoped

Select a block, switch to the refine tab, and describe what you want — "make this two columns with a big number on the left". It costs credits, but fewer than regenerating the whole page.

The button tells you what this particular edit will do before you commit: refine that block, or rebuild the page. Read it rather than assuming.

"New style"

This one gets misread. "New style" is not a free restyle button — it's a switch applied to your next generation, telling it to abandon the current look and land somewhere new. It costs what a generation costs, and it changes the whole page.

If you only want different colours, the properties panel does that for nothing.

Images

Any generated image can be regenerated on its own, with a description of what you want instead — that spends credits, as generating an image does. Uploading your own photo costs nothing, and is usually the better answer when the image needs to be of something real.

Saving

Tweaks live in the editor until you save. Leaving with unsaved changes gets you a warning first, which is worth reading rather than clicking past.
